HELP!

As those of you who have participated in or attended our last production, "The Variety Show", will remember, we had to run the show without our usual stage lighting.

The console used to control the system died right before the production started running. We've recently found out that it is not repairable. To make matters worse, we've also discovered that the newer boards are incompatible with the dimmer packs we have. We're looking at around thirteen hundred dollars to get the system back up to the point where it was.

We have been looking into a rental solution and we're finding that renting the system for a full running of a production will cost about the same as buying one.

We are looking for any help we can get on this one. If you are in a band that owns a lighting system and would like to lend it for a weekend please contact us here. If you would like to contribute to the fund to replace the system, you can donate money quickly, safely, and easily with PayPal. With PayPal, you can make a contribution with your credit card or electronically through your checking account. (In order to use your checking account, you will need to sign up for a PayPal account. They make it quick and easy and, since PayPal is becoming so popular, you will find it usefull for all kinds of other things. There is no need to sign up if you are using a credit card.)

A dimmer pack is a device that that powers the individual lights in the system. The lighting director controls all the dimmer packs with the console (A control panel covered with sliders and knobs). The use of dimmer packs eliminates the need to run 240V per light bank through the console that the director physically handles (good idea).
